Well it is winter and we have had rain and cooler temps of late. The wind as not been that bad but can be cold if you are in an exposed situation. Most of the trees have lost their leaves and look stark and skeleton like. Some roses have still got a lot of flowers. Some people have coughs and colds.
End of April
One more day and it will be the end of April. It has been sunny and warm for the most of April. A bit of rain the last couple of days. Political situation rather volatile with The Act Party leader in the firing line by the media and the opposition parties.
Easter
Easter looks like it will be fine. Early long term forecasts predicted a wet cold and unpleasant holiday weekend. Despite the high cost of petrol the traffic was heavy as many people headed away for a break and some r&r. I will take the chance to catch up on things at home. Turn the mobile phone off and sleep in a bit.
Just a winter day
It is the 24th March 2012 and it is like a winters day. It was rainy and cold and unpleasant not at all like an autumn day. Sort out a lot of things today and got rid og those that I had doubts about. Have a 3 cubic meter bub on the front lawn almost full.

Well it seems we may be in for a late summer although the temperature has dropped a little but it is fine and sunny.

Well after all the inclement weather we have had a few fine sunny days. It is cooler but there has been bright clear skies.
Weatherbomb
Weatherbomb has passed over and Tuakau has been spared any damage. Most damage seems to be in the south and in the Taranaki area. We had a lot of wind and rain but not as much as expected. All happy and safe.

Cold Showery Damp & Overcast
Well the 22nd of January 2012 was a cool overcast and showery day. A lot of people put off beach trips and other summer activities. Although many events went ahead the weather took the gloss of them. Car races with a wet track made it a different type of event with lots of bumps evident as drivers fought the wet tracks.
A lot of people have not had much of a holiday
With many people back to work this week there are many people discontented about their time off work. Most are un happy that there were only a few days that there was not rain or cold winds. Some went away and tried to make the best of it but many stayed home and just worked around the house. I wonder if DIY sales were up. Saw the people next door at a big DIY shop last week. Lets hope that people can go back to work and be refreshed and motivated anyway.
