Just a winter day

It is the 24th March 2012 and it is like a winters day. It was rainy and cold and unpleasant not at all like an autumn day. Sort out a lot of things today and got rid og those that I had doubts about. Have a 3 cubic meter bub on the front lawn almost full.

End of a tough week

Well it is the end of a tough week a a lot of things done and a lot to work through. Need to get things sorted and get thingd finished and set up the way they should be.

Phone wire faulty

After some days of on and off modem problems a tech replaced the wires under the house and we now seem to have a good connection again. Fingers crossed it will last for a while. It has been extremely frustrating as I could not check emails or get in line going ok now….. :-)

Unrest and discontent in the work force

New Zealand is currently suffering from a lot of cuts to employment and increasing costs. There are strikes, lock outs and a move by companies towards flexible employment. Petrol is almost a high as it
has ever been at $2,20 a litre it hurts to stop at the pump. The first of the regulations for asset sales passed by only one vote. It seems that the gloss has come of the government and the public profile is falling away.

Late Summer

Well it seems we may be in for a late summer although the temperature has dropped a little but it is fine and sunny.

Weatherbomb

Weatherbomb has passed over and Tuakau has been spared any damage. Most damage seems to be in the south and in the Taranaki area. We had a lot of wind and rain but not as much as expected. All happy and safe.

Bad weather predicted for the next 24 hours rain and winds to 159kph Need to lock things down aand make sure all is safe
