It was a torrid game but Ausie was too good for Wales. A lot of injury and and most of not all of the bench players were used. About 50,000 at the match.
Struggle to get oil off
It seems that every thing is against getting the oil off the ship wreck. Even with improved weather things are not going well. Pumps not working well or not at all and many other problems. You have to feel for those working on the ship and what must seem like an impossible mission.
Weather stops pumping of oil
Bad weather has halted the removal of oil from the container ship in the Bay of Plenty NZ. It seems that more oil spills will follow it all depends on the weather at present much of the oil is drifting out to sea but the weather is changeable and this may not be the case for very long.
Hope to start pumping oil from ship soon
The container ship should have the remainder of its oil pumped out soon. Weather forecast does not look good hope they can move significant oil before the weather breaks
Oil and containers
Oil has come ashore on the east coast in the Bay of Plenty. Many people have been cleaning up and tons of waste has been taken to the Waikato. Many feel the government was too slow to act and the problem escalated as a result. Containers have fallen from the ship and are also a major problem. Many people see this incident as a critical one and will not put it aside lightly. Votes will be influenced by inaction
England Exit WRC
France have caused yet an other WRC upset and England is on the way home. Wales also defeated Ireland and sent them home tomorrow the next two quarter final take place
Even More Money Spent on WRC
Today Auckland City Council approved another 5 million dollars spending on the WRC. Many people feel that spending is already way too high. Its the peoples money that they are spending.
A lot of people unwell
The weather, the environment, infections one or all are causing a lot of people to be unwell. A lot of chest infections around and people seem to be getting repeating bouts. I have not been well for the first time in six years been to the Dr four times. Not able to sleep much.
Government steps in
After the problems with “Party Central” and the trains and buses the governmrnt will tke over the organisition of future game in Auckland. Can’t afford any more adverse publicity might cost them in the polls. Ready to take credit but ever so reluctant to tle blane for any problems as there was last week.
Feeling a little better
I have had a bad chest infection for some weeks after two lots of treatment I am making some progress. Still not back to normal but a lot better. Still some hearing loss in the left ear and found it difficult to talk a lot this afternoon.
